The mission of the Latino Pilots Association is two-fold:
- To expose young Latinos to the world of aviation and empower them with the information, resources and inspiration to pursue their dreams to fly — recreationally or as a career.
- To connect Latino pilots through online and offline forums, events and gatherings and serve their interests and needs to promote the popularity of flight.
Our aim is:
- To educate Latino middle and high school students about the vast opportunities in the aviation field and provide them with a range of education options.
- To encourage Latinos to become recreational or professional pilots and develop scholarships for flight training and college education.
- To stimulate and encourage broader job opportunities for underprivileged Latino youth interested in aviation.
- To develop educational outreach programs to Hispanic communities across the United States.
- To increase the number of Latinos who become pilots.
Latinos are the nation's largest minority group and the fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population.
